GetIntel's own AI visibility, tracked live
We built GetIntel to track whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews actually cite you. So we run it on ourselves, on the same 60 buyer questions real prospects ask. No composite score to hide behind: here are the exact prompts, who gets cited instead of us, and where those citations actually come from.

Honest read: still well behind the category leaders, tied for 7th of 11 tracked.
Otterly AI gets cited on 41.4% of these exact prompts. Profound on 33.5%. We're at 7.5%, up from 0.8% in mid-July. This page exists to show the real number, not a flattering one, and to show exactly what we're doing about it below.
What's changed since July 15, 2026
Same page, same measurement, six weeks apart. Not a controlled test: other things moved in that window too.

The six names tracked in both snapshots
Five of the six leaders we could compare are down since July, not just us moving up. We don't know why yet: could be a wider tracked field this window, could be real category volatility. Worth watching, not worth claiming credit for.
Who actually gets cited on these 60 prompts
Same prompt set, same 7-day window, every named tool we track against ourselves.
2 of the 13 prompts where we do show up
Real buyer questions, real citation frequency across the last 2 runs each (AI answers vary run to run, so we track repeat hits, not a single lucky check).
“What tool lets me see which Reddit threads or G2 reviews AI engines are pulling brand recommendations from?”
“I found an AI visibility gap but the fix is sitting in my backlog for weeks. Is there a tool that generates ready-to-ship artifacts like llms.txt or schema automatically?”
Where AI actually pulls citations from in this category
Across 13,697 sources behind 5,780 tracked AI answers in the AI-visibility-tool category. Each figure below is the share of answers that cite that domain, not a share of all citations (those don't sum to 100, since one answer can cite several domains at once).
Reddit is cited in 23% of answers, YouTube in 19%, the two largest single sources by far. Two competitor domains (otterly.ai, tryprofound.com) also crack the top 10. Category-wide, our own domain accounts for just 1% of all citations, tracked competitors 8%, third parties 91%. If your GEO plan is "publish more on our own blog," this is still the data that says it isn't the highest-leverage move.
What we're doing about it
Given where citations actually happen (Reddit 23%, YouTube 19%, LinkedIn 12%, per the breakdown above), our own priority is building real presence on those three, not writing more blog posts hoping our own domain gets cited directly. That means genuine participation in the communities where this exact buying decision gets discussed, an actual YouTube presence, and a completed G2 and Product Hunt profile, before anything else.
Domain rating (54) and technical foundation (llms.txt, structured data, AI-crawler access) are already in reasonable shape. The gap is still mostly on the earned, third-party side: the citation sources above, not our own site.
We'll update this snapshot as the real numbers move, and we're not going to round up in the meantime. If the next check still shows 13 of 60, that's what we'll publish.
How we measure
GetIntel probes ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini with the same 60 buyer-intent questions real prospects ask in the AI-visibility-tool category: things like "best AI search visibility tool for SaaS founders" and "how do I track whether ChatGPT mentions my brand." For each probe we capture the real answer as shown in the engine's own interface, not a sanitized API response, and record who got cited, verbatim.
Every number on this page traces back to a specific probe, on a specific prompt, on a specific date. Nothing here is a composite or an index we can quietly redefine if it stops moving in our favor.
