Get listed where AI looks
How to find the review sites, directories, marketplaces and lists AI cites in your category using GetIntel, and get your brand included.
When AI names your competitors, it is often repeating review sites, directories and “best of” lists — see which sources AI engines actually cite. Getting onto those sources is one of the most reliable ways to start being named.
- Find the reference and editorial sources AI cites in your category.
- Check which ones list your rivals but not you.
- Get included, starting with the most-cited.
- Keep your facts consistent everywhere.
Why it works
Section titled “Why it works”This is the fast track. Publishing your own page means waiting for engines to find and trust it. A mention on a page they already cite can change answers as soon as they read it again, and a brand name helps even without a link.
1. Find the sources
Section titled “1. Find the sources”Open Sources and filter the type to Reference (review sites, directories and marketplaces such as G2, Capterra, Product Hunt and app stores) and Editorial (publications and ranked lists). Sort by Cited in.
2. Check where you are missing
Section titled “2. Check where you are missing”For each high-ranking source, check whether it lists you. Your Off-Page tasks already flag the lists and listings that cite rivals but not you.
3. Get included
Section titled “3. Get included”| Source type | What usually works |
|---|---|
| Review sites (G2, Capterra, Trustpilot) | Claim your profile, complete it fully, and ask happy customers for reviews. |
| Marketplaces and app stores | List your integration or app, with a clear description of what it does. |
| Directories (Product Hunt, AlternativeTo) | Create or complete the listing, including alternatives you compete with. |
| Ranked lists and articles | Contact the author with a short, specific reason your product belongs, and offer accurate details. |
4. Keep listings consistent
Section titled “4. Keep listings consistent”Use the same product name, category and one-line description everywhere. Consistent facts help AI describe you accurately, which also lifts your brand perception knowledge score.
5. Measure
Section titled “5. Measure”Check Sources after a few weeks to a month: are the sources you worked on starting to cite you? Then check the topics they serve.
