Glossary

Definitions of the terms used across GetIntel, from answer states and visibility to topics, win rate, tasks and AI readiness.

Absent: an answer that names other products but not you. See Answer states.

Action access: permission on an MCP token to change your task list and run technical re-checks, not just read.

AI crawlers: AI engines’ bots reading your pages, from your Cloudflare analytics.

AI readiness score: whether each engine can reach, read and use your key pages, 0 to 100. See AI readiness score.

AI visitors: people who arrive on your site from an AI assistant.

Answer state: how your brand appears in one answer: recommended, mentioned, absent, open or no answer.

Brand perception: whether AI knows your brand and would recommend it, measured weekly.

Buyer question (prompt): a question a real buyer asks an AI engine, tracked daily.

Citation: a page an answer links to as a source. See Citations vs mentions.

Confirmed task: a task seen on at least 2 days or backed by at least 3 answers.

Found: a topic’s score, how often AI names you unprompted on it over 7 days. See Topic score.

Head-to-head: a daily question that asks an engine to choose between you and a named rival.

Hidden strength: a topic status where you win comparisons but AI rarely brings you up.

Layer: a group of tasks: On-Page, Off-Page, UGC or Technical.

Mention: your brand’s name appearing in an answer.

Mentioned: an answer that names you, but not first.

No answer: the engine returned nothing to read; left out of scores.

Open: an answer that names no product at all. See what an open slot means.

Position: where you appear among the products an answer names, from 1. See Position.

Recommended: an answer that names you first.

Share of voice: your share of all brand mentions in the answers. See Share of voice.

Source type: how a cited site is classed: corporate, editorial, UGC, reference, competitor or you.

Topic: a group of buyer questions about one subject, scored on its own.

Visibility: how often AI names you, averaged across your buyer questions. See Visibility.

Win rate: how often AI picks you in head-to-heads, among answers that pick a side. See Win rate.
