Brand perception
Whether AI engines know what your product is and whether they would recommend it, checked weekly across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
Brand perception answers two questions: does AI know your brand, and would it recommend you? It runs weekly on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Available on Pro and Growth.
Does AI know you?
Section titled “Does AI know you?”What each engine says when asked directly what your product is:
| Result | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Accurately describes you | The description matches your product. |
| Partially accurate | Some of it is right. |
| Describes you wrong | The engine gets your product wrong. |
| Vague / unsure | The answer is noncommittal. |
| Doesn’t know you | The engine does not recognize the brand. |
Would AI recommend you?
Section titled “Would AI recommend you?”A two-turn conversation per engine:
- Unprompted. A category question that never mentions you: Named nobody, Named competitors, not you, Named you, or Named you first.
- When asked. A follow-up that names you: Recommends you, Lists you as an option, Points to competitors, Speaks negatively, or No clear signal.
What’s good and what’s bad
Section titled “What’s good and what’s bad”Two summaries drawn from every engine’s reasoning, so you can see what AI already believes about you and what to correct.
The page shows when the last run happened and when the next one is due. Runs happen on Mondays.
